No Hāmoa, Haina me Tiamana ōku tipuna

I tipu ake ahau ki Aotearoa, ki Tāmaki

Ko Aayla tōku ingoa

My name is Aayla, I am of Samoan, Chinese & German descent. I grew up in and around South Auckland and am now living on the East side. My partner Jonty also runs his own business, and between us we have three beautiful children.

I have a solid educational background in business and education. I have a Business degree majoring in Strategy and several qualifications that compliment this, including certificates in coaching, project management, communications, cultural competency and reo Māori.

I work as a contractor in the public sector and also run this consulting business as a small side-hustle. It initially started of as volunteer work, helping my family, friends and community who needed support with their businesses and now I offer this as a service to others. Some day soon, I'd like to make it my full-time gig and expand into a full business - a goal that I've set for myself over the next few years.

I'm passionate about business and people, and love to use my skills to help others.

My approach

I believe the best approach to business is having a clear mission and a plan on how to deliver on your goals. Having written objectives, an action plan and someone or something to keep you accountable.

I believe in having good balance between home, family and business and self-care. I also believe all business owners  need a business community. This can be made up of family, friends and/or advisors who push you to execute, grow and navigate challenges throughout your journey.

Ehara taku toa i te toa takitahi, engari he toa takitini

‘My strength is not that of an individual, but that of the collective'
